Learn About Harris Fence Inc.

Have a fence related question? We have the answer! Check out our FAQs below to learn more about our company and services.

  • What type of wood do you use for wood fencing?

As trusted fence contractors, we use number 1 quality pickets only. We also offer treated pine that is a full 3 quarter-inch thick and can resist split and check. As well as number 1 cedar (Western Red and Pacific), we offer both raw cedar that is not stained and sealed and cedar that is stained and sealed.

  • How long does fencing last?

How long your fencing will last depends on the type of fencing you have installed at your home or business. Based on the experience of fence contractors, wood fencing, if maintained properly, should last anywhere from 12-20 years.

  • What type of posts do you use?

We use 4-inch by 4-inch treated pine posts as well as 2 and 3/8-inch schedule 20 galvanized posts. Contact our team of fence contractors if you have questions about what is best for your situation.

  • What maintenance will my fence need?

The maintenance your fence will need depends on the type you have installed by fence contractors. Wood fencing does require some care from time to time while vinyl, chain link, and PVC are completely maintenance-free.

  • Do you offer in-house financing?

We do not offer in-house financing. However, as reputable fence contractors, we do accept all major credit cards. This could be a good way to boost your reward points! It should be noted that a good fence can increase a home’s value between $1,500 and $5,000, depending on the type and material (according to Rehab Financial Group).
